Frequently Asked Questions

What is a PSD badge file?

A PSD badge is a Photoshop document containing a pre-designed badge, such as a ribbon, seal, or vintage logo mark. The text and shapes sit on separate, editable layers, so you can recolor them, change the wording, and resize without losing quality.

How do I edit the text on a PSD badge?

Open the file in Photoshop, select the Type tool (T), and click directly on the existing text layer. You can then type your own words and adjust the font, size, and color to match your design.

What can I use free PSD badges for?

Designers commonly use them for pricing displays, promotional seals, special-offer callouts, logo mockups, and product labels. They are a quick way to add a professional, trustworthy touch to web and print designs.

Are free PSD badges OK for commercial projects?

Many free badge sets permit both personal and commercial use, but licenses vary by creator. Check the readme or license note that comes with each download before using the badges in client work or anything you sell.
